Overview: In this case study, I detail how I transformed a legacy application by integrating advanced AI features—Feedback Assist, Conversation Assist, and Goal Assist—while introducing the New Haven Design System for a cohesive, modern user interface. These updates addressed core user pain points, such as inefficient workflows and inconsistent design, enabling smarter, more intuitive interactions.

The AI features streamlined complex tasks, providing users with actionable insights and personalized assistance, significantly improving productivity and user satisfaction. The New Haven Design System unified the app's look and feel, ensuring scalability, accessibility, and ease of maintenance across platforms. Research and Discovery

During the research and discovery phase, we focused on understanding user needs while evaluating the technical possibilities of our private LLM. Through workflow analysis, we identified opportunities where AI could enhance efficiency and decision-making. Simultaneously, we collaborated with engineers to explore the model’s capabilities and limitations, ensuring the proposed features, were both impactful and feasible within our infrastructure.
